Mary Fran Wiley followed an increasingly informed track to a new job: A crony e-mailed her a pursuit inventory from LinkedIn, and Wiley leveraged her social-media savvy and a tailored cover minute and resume to win a position as a web engineer during a Ravenswood startup.

“If we ‘Google’ me, we am a whole initial page of Google hunt formula — we see my Twitter account, my blog, my personal website, my personal portfolio and my LinkedIn profile,” pronounced Wiley, a 27-year-old LaGrange local and University of Illinois connoisseur who now lives in Willow Springs.

“I make certain my web participation is what we wish people to find,” she said, observant that she uses Google Index to make that happen.

Wiley, who aced a 50-percent income boost with her new job, had told friends she wanted to lapse to Chicago after she had worked given Jun 2010 as artistic manager for Illini Media Company, a non-profit during her alma mater that operates a university newspaper, radio station, annual and engineering magazine. Wiley had worked during Illini Media for 3 years in promotion sales while she was in college.

She majored in French and general selling during U of I, though she credits her preference to obtain a graphic-design certificate from a College of DuPage, a village college, in 2009-2010 with assisting her benefit value in a pursuit market.
